Cookie Policy

The cookies and browser storage Wyzie uses, what each one is for, and how to clear them.

Last updated: November 7, 2026

Overview

We do not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, tracking pixels or browser fingerprinting.

What we do store is small and functional: your theme and language, your sign-in session, and a few values that save you re-entering an API key. This page lists each one. The Privacy Policy (section 2e) covers the same ground in its own words.

Cookies we set

NamePurposeLasts
wz_themeRemembers light, dark or automatic. Shared across wyzie.io subdomains.1 year
wz_localeRemembers the language you chose. Shared across wyzie.io subdomains.1 year
wz_consoleKeeps you signed in to the dashboard after an email sign-in. Set as HttpOnly, so page scripts cannot read it.Up to 3 days, or until you sign out

Browser storage

These values live in your browser's localStorage on the device you use. They are not sent to advertisers or data brokers.

NamePurpose
wyzieFreeKeyYour free-plan API key after you redeem it, so the redeem page can show it again.
wyzieDashboardKeyThe API key you enter on the dashboard, so you stay signed in on that device. Removed when you sign out.
wyziePaymentIdA reference kept after checkout as a fallback for payment verification.
wyzieUserEmailThe email used at checkout, kept to help with order lookups.
wyzie_keyThe Pro key you enter on the Synced and Transcribe pages, so you do not retype it.
wyzie-theme, wyzie:locale:v1A local copy of your theme and language, used by the browser extension and in local development.

wyzieFreeKey, wyzieDashboardKey and wyzie_key hold an API key. If you clear this data we cannot recover the key for you, and keeping the key secure stays your responsibility.

Third-party cookies

Cloudflare, which serves our sites, may set a strictly necessary security cookie such as __cf_bm and a Turnstile challenge cookie to tell people from automated traffic. Cloudflare controls these, they are needed for the service to run securely, and we do not use them for tracking or advertising.

Payments happen on pages run by Stripe or NOWPayments, which handle their own data under their own policies. The setup quiz at quiz.wyzie.io has no accounts, no cookies and no tracking scripts.

Clearing or blocking them

  • Clear site data for wyzie.io in your browser settings to remove every value above.
  • Sign out of the dashboard to remove wyzieDashboardKey and end the wz_console session.
  • Blocking cookies entirely will stop the dashboard sign-in and the Turnstile check, and the theme and language will reset on each visit.
